 Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, the acclaimed high quality eating vacation spot, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jaffery Othman as the brand new Executive Chef. In his new position, Chef Othman will oversee the culinary technique and operations throughout the resort’s six eating places and bars, in-villa eating and catering providers.

Jaffery Othman brings a wealth of expertise from each Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Most not too long ago, he served as the Executive Chef at Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon, with a formidable UK roster extending to such luxurious properties and high quality eating eating places as the enduring InterContinental Edinburgh the George and Marco Pierre White’s River Room restaurant at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester. Meanwhile, over time his many Malaysian stints ranged from main the groups at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort and Hilton Kota Kinabalu to contributing his abilities at Batang Ai Longhouse Hilton Resort and Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, amongst others.

Chef Othman’s intensive coaching in French delicacies and collaborations with high UK cooks like Marco Pierre White, Raymond Blanc and John Benson-Smith have formed his expertise and private model, whereas his expertise cooking for Queen Elizabeth II and the Malaysian Royal households infuses each dish he creates with a delicate royal contact.

Chef Othman’s ardour for journey has taken him to exceptional locations throughout Southeast Asia, Europe and the US. His multilingual skills and love for enjoying the guitar add to his vibrant persona. He holds a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management with Tourism from Manchester Metropolitan University in England and a Brevet De Technicien Hôtellerie (B.T.H.) from Institut International D’Hôtellerie et De Tourisme De Toulouse Midi Pyrénées, France.
